Manual to fully automatic

Bookletmakers allow you to create small booklets from unfolded sheets of paper. (If you are looking for Binders, click here.) There are 2 types: Manual feed booklet makers into which you place the pages by hand, and Booklet makers that can be paired with a collator to automatically insert the pages into the machine.

The least expensive and most basic bookletmaker is the BookletMate. You manually place up to 10 pages in the machine, and then rotate the lever one way to staple the booklet and then the other way to fold it.

The AutoBook and M2 also require that you set the pages into the machine manually, but do the stapling and folding at the push of a button.

Starting with the Standard F40, you can create a fully automatic bookletmaker when combined with a collator, a device that collates and feeds the booklets. You print each page of the booklet separately and put it into its own feeder. A new Plockmatic model will take more than one sheet from a feeder.
